For 3 weeks in January, Kat was in residency at the Gärtnerhaus, Berlin, further developing postWinterreise with Andrew Munn.
postWinterreise is a journey into ecological transformation. Composed at the dawn of the industrial revolution, Franz Schubert’s Winterreise traces a narrative of individual loss in winter. In a time when winter itself is becoming a memory, postWinterreise grows out of Schubert’s song cycle to become a search for new ways of being human in the midst of the ecological crisis.
At the end of the residency, the team shared progress and working methods with a invited cultural actors in the Berlin scene.
